Britt: JailTALK_Her

Part 1

This song reminds me of back in the puppy days of all that is me- drove my scooter (rice burner) down from Charleston SC to St Petersburg FL. About 470 miles one way.

Fun ride going down. I was leaving one girls tears (mine- not hers) to meet up with another storm of sorts. Unexpected- but part of whatever my life was back then.

The ride down was sunny and great. Arrived and stopped at a seaside bar off a South Florida pier and experienced some brews and tequilla topped off with big ass prawns for Shrimp Scampi. Truly was a moment Of badass ryder comes to meet his fate and shit. (writes well, but it was just a couple brews and cold ass beer). Splurged on getting that Shrimp- (cuz I was poor).

The fact that I remember it speaks volumes. The rest of that adventure was more complicated cuz I was hanging out with a Navy Bud that was seriously much crazier than me.

The ride back was epic. 42 degrees- non-stop rain and brutal wind. I had to pull over at a roadside cafe and it took about 15 minutes to stop shaking from the wet ass cold shit I drove through for about the last 5 hours before. Leather jackets don’t do shit to help you from that. But when I coffeed up- that Seeger song “Turn The Page” absolutely matched me up.

But Britt’s story has it’s own moment– and that moment is now. Not some black water horseless dreams. So let’s move forward and see whats up with Life in MDOC?

Most people would say that MDOC is NOT A LIFE. Rather the absence of it.

I look at it as a cinderblock in that firepit we all look at when we are clan and camping out together. When those coals light up in a spark, they are a reminder of what Freedom truly means to all of us. The absence of light brings forward the argument that life- a “Free Life” well It’s a fight to keep that and “THE STRUGGLE IS REAL”.

This song is a very good description of walking past other peoples limitations that they want to throw down on you. FUK them.

I admire Courage. I’m sharing Britt’s Courage- Not Mine. Pretty sure we could all use an ounce of what she is sharing here. What you are witnessing here is her intrepid belief that indeed I would come through for her even after 2 months of no contact. She never wavered.
