There is an unmentioned subculture in our society…
They are the “You & Me people” that just went to McDonalds for a bite to eat. They walked tho. They walked because they don’t have a car, and if they get a ride? They are definitey paying a price. They arent “poor people” that need a hand. They are as strong if not stronger than you and me. They fight to survive and they fight as hard for their kids as anyone in this country ever has. They are a strong and necessary element in our workforce because they address a basic human need that all cultures need in order to thrive. That need is companionship- not just a quick release.
They are the hidden guest that your husband dis-invited after consumption- a commodity as important as the presription you may have to treat your anxiety issues. They are the empath that is not discussed in a civics lecture.
TBH?
They hover in and around society, but remain uninvited guests hiding from the daylight in order to escape and evade persecution and incarceration. You cant really be a guest or a member of society at the same time. It’s either one or the other. Unfortunately most guests when discovered, end up being invited through a different door when asked to join…
I’ve seen a lot of scams in my life, but not to the level of such extreme desperation that I see in the provider industry here in our country. I don’t despise anything. Nor do I regret the money that has been taken from me. I figure it’s been used to satisy a far more urgent need then anything I really have sitting on the table in front of me.
I write about drugs and prostitution not as a catharsis. I write about this as a probe into my own social awareness and a deeper spiritual conscience. A conscience for lack of a better term that is like a deep sadness, because no one should have to go through this rinse and repeat cycle.
I don’t use this platform as a mirror or looking glass to urge me away from choices I make. I’m in control of those.
I use this platform to raise awareness in myself as well as anyone taking the time to visit this blog. I write because I can, and because I have a gift for a reason (the writing thing). I write about it because it’s an ongoing story that needs to be told and brought home to the countless people out there that have no clue of how serious this is…
And the “IT” i’m talking about is not the opioid epedemic here in America. Thats stands out on it’s own merit.
The “IT” i’m talking about is the steady self-isolation we have developing here in America. We talk to our phones- and we dont talk to people anymore. A world where ChatGPT is your muse- while Alexis is blowing your… mind.
This blog is America’s salt. The stories in here are the pepper grains noone wants to see at the dinner table.
Below are word for word quotes that I recieved via texts and caught my attention.
